OurMeals helps users plan meals, save recipes, manage grocery lists, and optionally connect with a partner so both users can plan together. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how partner sharing works, and the choices you have.

Passwords are handled through Firebase Authentication. We do not intentionally store your plain-text password.
Onboarding Information
During onboarding, you may provide information such as:

Some dietary preferences may reveal sensitive information, such as health, religious, or lifestyle preferences.
You should only provide information you are comfortable storing in OurMeals.
Partner And Household Information

When you connect with a partner, certain information becomes shared between both accounts so the app can work as intended.

Recipe images or uploaded photos

Payment And Subscription Information
OurMeals uses Apple’s in-app purchase system for subscriptions. We may receive and store limited subscription-related information, such as:
Whether your subscription is active
Which subscription product you selected
Whether your household has premium access
Which connected account owns the premium subscription
We do not collect or store your full payment card number. Payment information is handled by Apple.
Technical, Usage, And Diagnostic Information
We may collect technical information to operate, secure, and improve the app, including:

Operating system
App version
App opens
Session activity
In-app purchase events
Crash or performance data
IP address
Firebase installation or app instance identifiers
General geography derived from technical data

However, because users can enter free-form recipe, meal, note, and shopping information, you should avoid adding sensitive personal information you do not want stored or shared.

4. Partner Sharing
OurMeals is designed for shared meal planning. If you connect with a partner:
Your partner may see shared recipes, meal plans, calendar events, and shopping items.
Your partner may see basic account-related information needed for the shared experience, such as your name, email, partner status, and profile image if added.
If one partner has an active subscription, both connected users may receive premium access.
Removing a partner stops future sharing through the app.
Removing a partner does not control information your former partner may have already viewed, copied, screenshotted, or saved outside the app.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third-party advertising networks for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may share information in the following limited ways:
With Your Connected Partner
When you choose to connect with a partner, shared household information is available to both users.
With Service Providers
We use service providers to operate OurMeals, including:
Firebase and Google Cloud services for authentication, database storage, file storage, app functionality, analytics, security, and diagnostics
Apple for subscriptions, in-app purchases, App Store reviews, and subscription management
Webflow or other website providers for website hosting
These providers process information on our behalf or according to their own terms where applicable.
For Legal Or Safety Reasons
We may disclose information if required to:

We keep information for as long as needed to provide OurMeals, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.In general:
Account data is kept while your account is active.
Recipes, meal plans, and shopping items are kept until deleted by you or your account is deleted.
Subscription records may be kept as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Support requests and cancellation feedback may be kept to improve the app and respond to users.
Backup copies and provider logs may remain for a limited time after deletion.
7. Your Choices
You can control certain information directly in the app:
Update account information where available
Manage haptic settings
Remove a connected partner
Delete recipes
Delete meal planning data
Delete shopping list data
Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple
Contact us to request help with account or data deletion
You can also control some device-level privacy settings through iOS, such as notification permissions and app permissions.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law, such as transaction records, security logs, or records needed to resolve disputes.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. OurMeals relies on Firebase and Google Cloud services for core storage, authentication, and security infrastructure.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
10. Children’s Privacy
OurMeals is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to OurMeals, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International Users
OurMeals and our service providers may process information in the United States, Canada, or other countries. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.
